For me, it was a personal problem. I have been training and teaching martial arts & self defense for years. I am a 5th degree karate black belt, and a certified firearms instructor.
But none of this helped when one of my sisters took a leading women's self defense course - taught by the police department- and came back feeling less certain, less confident, and mentally defeated.
